Each calendar month is a new season with its own leaderboard starting from zero. At month end, season prizes and exclusive cosmetics are awarded to top finishers, then the seasonal ladder resets. Your all-time rank and trophies are never affected by season resets.

Each calendar month is a new season on 2048.now. Every season has its own separate leaderboard that starts at zero for all players on the first of the month.

Season structure

Duration: one calendar month
Leaderboard: separate from the all-time global leaderboard - Season scores start fresh each month
Prizes: exclusive cosmetics (board skins, tile themes, profile frames) awarded to top finishers at season end
Reset: season leaderboard resets at the start of each new month

What resets and what doesn't

Resets: your seasonal rank position and seasonal score.

Does NOT reset: your permanent military rank, all-time trophies, XP, coins, gems, equipment, and all-time leaderboard standing. These are never affected by season resets.

Why compete in seasons?

Season cosmetics are only available during the month they're issued - They cannot be purchased from the Shop later. Each season represents a fresh start, giving newer players a chance to compete with veterans for the monthly prizes.
