How Do Seasons Work in 2048.now?
Each calendar month is a new season with its own leaderboard that starts at zero. Your permanent rank, trophies, XP, and currency are never touched by a season reset.

Season structure
- Duration: one calendar month
- Leaderboard: separate from the all-time global leaderboard - Season scores start fresh each month

Seasonal rank vs your permanent rank
It helps to think of 2048.now as having two parallel ladders. Your permanent military rank is a lifetime achievement that only ever goes up as you accumulate trophies and XP - nothing about a season touches it. The seasonal ladder, by contrast, is a fresh monthly competition: everyone starts the first of the month at zero, races to bank the highest seasonal score, and the standings are wiped when the next month begins. This design lets a brand-new player who has a strong month finish high in the season race even while their permanent rank is still modest, because the two systems are scored independently. Competing in seasons is therefore the fastest route to time-limited prizes, while your permanent rank rewards long-term consistency.
Why compete in seasons?
Season cosmetics are only available during the month they're issued - They cannot be purchased from the Shop later. Each season represents a fresh start, giving newer players a chance to compete with veterans for the monthly prizes.
Common mistakes
The most common worry is that a season reset wipes your progress - it does not. Only the seasonal ladder zeroes out; your permanent rank, trophies, and currency all carry forward. The mistake that actually costs you is waiting until the last day to push for a season prize: rivals bank scores all month, so a single late run rarely catches them. The other slip is assuming exclusive season cosmetics will return to the Shop later - they will not, so claim them in the month they are offered.
