What Do You Get on the 2048.now Free Tier?
A free 2048.now account is a full account, not a trial. It has no game limit, no daily play cap, and no expiry. This page is the concrete inventory: exactly what a free account can open, earn, and spend, with the real numbers from the game.
Modes you can open
A free account can play all six modes — Classic 4×4, Large 5×5, Expert 6×6, Arena, the Daily Challenge and head-to-head Multiplayer — with no restriction on how many games, which grid size, or what time of day. Every game you finish while signed in is a ranked game that submits to the global leaderboard. Each game gives you the standard 5 undos.
What a free account earns per game
Coins and XP are paid out on every finished ranked game, scaled by grid size:

A loss still pays 10% of the win XP as participation, so a session never comes away with nothing. Fast, efficient wins carry a speed bonus on top of the base XP, worth up to +50% at the highest tier. None of these rates are reduced for free accounts — they are the platform's base rates.
Daily income without paying
- 3 daily quests assigned automatically each day, plus 1 quest reroll per day if you draw one you don't want
- Daily login bonus: 10 coins and 5 XP every day you sign in, on top of anything you earn playing
- A 50-coin, 10-XP welcome bonus the first time you ever log in
- Elite daily quests unlock at Staff Sergeant (400 trophies) and pay double coins and XP
- Seasonal events and monthly seasons, including the exclusive season cosmetics for top finishers
What free coins actually buy
Coins are earned only through play — they cannot be bought with real money by anyone, on any plan. Everything in the Shop is priced in them and fully open to a free account, from a 50-coin undo pack to the 1,800-coin week-long XP boost (full price list):

A free account can also list and buy gems on the player-run Marketplace, and buy or craft every item in the equipment catalogue — six board skins, five tile styles and three avatar frames, two of which every account owns from the start. Progression a free account can reach
- All 10 trophy categories — none is subscription-locked
- All 13 rank tiers, from Private at 0 trophies to General at 1,200
- Every quest level your rank unlocks, up to 6 daily and 12 season levels at Major and above
- The full achievement set, each paying its own XP and coin reward on unlock
- Both leaderboards — the all-time global board and the monthly season board
- The community chat — readable by anyone, and open for posting once you hold 100 trophies (Private First Class), with no subscription involved
What a free account does not get
Four things, none of them gameplay: ads are shown, coin income is at the base rate rather than doubled, there is no fourth daily quest or second reroll, and the post-game analysis tools (heatmaps, replay hints) and incognito mode are Premium features.
