Yes — everything you earn in 2048.now is stored against your account on the server, not on the device you earned it on. Log in from any phone, tablet, browser or computer and your full history, rank and balances are already there. There is no sync to trigger, no save file to copy and no device limit.

Why it works this way
2048.now stores progression against the account rather than the browser because ranked results have to be verifiable. A completed game is submitted to the server, validated there, and only then written to your profile — so the record of it lives in one place from the moment it exists. That is also why there is nothing to back up and nothing to lose when a phone dies: the device was never holding your progress in the first place.
The flip side is the rule that catches people out: if it was never submitted to an account, it does not exist. Guest games are kept in the browser's local storage only, so they never sync anywhere, cannot be claimed later, and disappear when the cache is cleared. Two separate accounts are likewise two separate records — progress cannot be merged or transferred between them, which is the main reason to recover an existing account rather than register a second one.
Switching devices mid-session
A game in progress is the one thing that does not follow you. If you are halfway through a run on a laptop and open the site on a phone, the phone starts a new game — only completed, submitted results are on the server, and an unfinished board has not been submitted yet. Finish the run where you started it, or accept losing that board. Everything already banked is waiting for you on the other device regardless.
Staying signed in
You do have to be logged in for any of this to apply, and to the same account on each device. If a device seems to have lost your progress, the overwhelmingly likely explanation is that you are signed out or signed in to a different account — check the username shown in the navigation before assuming anything is missing. Signing in with Google on one device and email on another creates two distinct accounts if the sign-ups were separate, so it is worth confirming which method the original account used.
