How to Recover Your 2048.now Account
To recover your 2048.now account, use Forgot Password if you signed up with email, or simply Sign In with Google if you used Google — there is no separate password for Google accounts. Account recovery depends on how you originally signed up.
Email/password accounts
- Go to the login page
- Click Forgot password? below the password field
- Enter the email address associated with your account
- Check your email for a password reset link (check spam if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes)
- Click the reset link and choose a new password
Google Sign-In accounts
If you originally signed up with Google, your 2048.now account is tied to your Google account. There is no separate password — click Sign In with Google on the login page and authenticate with your Google credentials.
Because authentication is delegated to Google, recovery for these accounts is really about regaining access to the Google account itself. As long as you can sign in to Google, you can sign in to 2048.now — there is nothing extra to reset on our side. If the Google account itself is gone, Google's own account recovery is the place to start; only once that fails is there anything we can help with.
Can't remember which method you used?
Try Google Sign-In first; if no account is found, run the Forgot Password flow with every email address you might plausibly have used. A quicker way to narrow it down is to think back to the sign-up itself. If you remember choosing a password and confirming an email, you registered with email. If you clicked a Google button and were straight into the game with nothing to set up, you used Google, and there is nothing on our side to reset.
Why the reset email sometimes never arrives
In the great majority of cases it is because the account was created with Google. Google accounts have no 2048.now password, so there is nothing for the system to reset and no email to send — the request simply has no effect. Before concluding that the reset has failed, check your spam folder and confirm you entered the same address you registered with; a typo at sign-up is the second most common cause, and the address on the account is the only one a reset link can go to.
Do not register a second account
If you cannot get in, resist the temptation to start fresh. A new account begins at Private with zero trophies, and because progress is stored against a single account it can never be merged with or transferred from the original. That includes your rank, trophies, coins, gems and equipment. Work through the recovery routes above first, and if none of them succeed, contact support through the Feedback form with your username and roughly when you signed up — that is usually enough for us to locate the account.
