How to Recover Your 2048.now Account
To recover your 2048.now account, use Forgot Password if you signed up with email, or simply Sign In with Google if you used Google - there is no separate password for Google accounts.
Account recovery depends on how you originally signed up:
Email/password accounts
- Go to the login page
- Click Forgot password? below the password field
- Enter the email address associated with your account
- Check your email for a password reset link (check spam if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes)
- Click the reset link and choose a new password
Google Sign-In accounts
If you originally signed up with Google, your 2048.now account is tied to your Google account. There is no separate password - Click Sign In with Google on the login page and authenticate with your Google credentials.
Because authentication is delegated to Google, recovery for these accounts is really about regaining access to the Google account itself. As long as you can sign in to Google, you can sign in to 2048.now - there is nothing extra to reset on our side. If you no longer have access to the Google account used to sign up, contact support through the Feedback form with your account details (username and approximate sign-up date help us locate it), and we can advise on next steps.
Can't remember which method you used?
Try Google Sign-In first. If no account is found, try the email/password route with the Forgot Password flow.
A quick way to narrow it down: think about how you originally signed up. If you remember setting a password and confirming an email, you used email registration, so the Forgot Password flow is your route. If you simply clicked a Google button and were straight into the game with no password to create, you used Google Sign-In, and there is nothing to reset - just authenticate with Google again. Either way, you only ever need one account; resist the urge to register a new one, because progress, rank, and trophies cannot be transferred between separate accounts.
Common mistakes
The most frequent error is requesting a password reset for an account that was actually created with Google - no reset email will ever arrive because Google accounts have no 2048.now password. If the reset email seems missing, also check your spam folder before assuming it failed. Finally, do not create a brand-new account when you cannot get in - a second account starts your rank and trophies from scratch and cannot be merged with the original. Recover the existing one through the steps above, or contact support via the Feedback form.
