Understanding the Metrics
- Score is the total points accumulated during a game. Each merge adds the value of the resulting tile, so merging two 1024 tiles scores 2,048 points.
- Score/s is your final score divided by your completion time in seconds. It measures how quickly you generated points, so a higher Score/s is better and it lets a short fast game be compared with a long slow one.
- Efficiency is your final score divided by the number of moves you made, shown as a percentage. An efficiency of 2,000% means you averaged 20 points per move. Higher is always better, and because one late merge can be worth thousands of points, healthy values run into the thousands of percent rather than near 100%.
- World records are the fastest ranked completion times for each grid size on this platform. They update instantly when a new record is set.
- Total ranked wins reflect competitive engagement. The Wins by Grid chart shows where the community plays most — useful for understanding competitive context.
How to Improve Your 2048 Statistics
1
Play ranked games consistently. Your statistics only grow from ranked play — practice mode runs are not recorded. Set a goal of completing at least 3 ranked games per day to build a meaningful data set and improve your win rate over time.
2
Focus on increasing Score/s, not raw score. Score/s rewards a high score and a quick finish at the same time, so it separates players who merge decisively from players who drift. A game with a modest total score but a fast completion can still post an excellent Score/s.
3
Play the grid one size above your comfort zone. If you win reliably on Classic 4×4, more sessions on Large 5×5 and Expert 6×6 will lift your numbers faster than grinding the grid you have already mastered. Bigger boards force the long-range tile planning that improves every result.
4
Track efficiency to spot wasted moves. Efficiency falls whenever you swipe in a direction that shuffles tiles without merging any of them, because your move count grows while your score does not. Reviewing replays of your lowest-efficiency wins quickly reveals bad habits like unnecessary upward swipes or breaking a corner sequence.
Pro Tips
- Track your own Score/s trend rather than a fixed target. Score/s scales with the grid you play, so there is no single number that counts as competitive across every board. If you are working toward a world record position, watching your own Score/s climb week to week tells you more than raw finish time, because it separates a genuinely sharper session from a lucky short board.
- The efficiency trophy ladder runs from 2,000% to 10,000%. The trophy table awards its first efficiency trophy at 2,000% (an average of 20 points per move) and its top efficiency trophy at 10,000%. Because efficiency is score divided by moves, the fastest way to raise it is to stop making swipes that move tiles without merging them.
