Understanding the Metrics

  • Score is the total points accumulated during a game. Each merge adds the value of the resulting tile - merging two 1024 tiles scores 2048 points.
  • Score/s is your score divided by solve time - a measure of how efficiently you merged tiles. Higher is better.
  • Efficiency is your score compared to the theoretical maximum for your move count. 100% means every move was optimal.
  • World records are the fastest ranked completion times for each difficulty on this platform. They update instantly when a new record is set.
  • Total ranked wins reflect competitive engagement. The Wins by Difficulty chart shows where the community plays most - useful for understanding competitive context.

How to Improve Your 2048 Statistics

1
Play ranked games consistently. Your statistics only grow from ranked play — practice mode runs are not recorded. Set a goal of completing at least 3 ranked games per day to build a meaningful data set and improve your win rate over time.
2
Focus on increasing Score/s, not raw score. Score/s normalises for board difficulty. A game with a low total score but fast completion can still show a high Score/s. Chasing Score/s improvement is the clearest path to a better statistical profile.
3
Target a difficulty above your current win rate. If your win rate on Expert is below 60%, you will improve faster by playing more Expert sessions than switching to Beginner. Repeated exposure to harder boards builds the pattern recognition that lifts all your numbers.
4
Track efficiency to spot wasted moves. An efficiency below 100% means you are making moves that do not advance toward a win. Reviewing replays of low-efficiency games quickly reveals bad habits like unnecessary upward swipes or breaking corner sequences.
Pro Tips
  • Score/s above 2.0 on Expert is competitive. If you are working toward a world record position, tracking your Score/s over time is more meaningful than tracking raw time - it controls for board difficulty.
  • Efficiency above 120% is excellent. Most players hover between 90% and 130%. Values far above 150% typically indicate inefficient moves - tightening your swipe patterns will bring efficiency into an optimal range.
